Teeth Whitening Options

Teeth Whitening is Easy

Teeth can become discolored over time from a variety of factors. Healthy teeth are even sometimesnot as bright-white as some patients would like—and we have two great options that can produce a healthy, dazzling and renewed smile.

Teeth whitening can be done right in our office, or with custom trays in the comfort of your own home. There are benefits two both options, and it is really a personal preference. Almost all adults are good candidates for some degree of teeth whitening. At Cobblestone Dental Care in Gilbert, we customize your whitening procedure to assure you get great results that are appropriate for your smile.

Here are some details of both teeth whitening options:

In-Office: Our in-office teeth whitening procedure gives you a bright-white and dazzling smile in about an hour. We use a professional grade bleaching agent that is safe and effective in just a single visit. The exact duration of the treatment depends on the desired level of whitening and the level of staining. Typically results have shown that a professional whitening session can provide faster, whiter, and more even results than the at-home version.

At Home: Teeth whitening at home is very popular with ome of our patients. Teeth whitening at home involves a short visit to our office to have molds made of your teeth. A custom tray set is created for you, that you pick up about a week later. When you pick up your trays, you’ll also receive whitening geland full instructions on how to whiten your teeth. You will use the trays with the gel for about 30 minutes per day for a week or two depending on your desired results, and we will advise you on the best times to do this along with other instructions to maximize the process.

Both teeth whitening options are very safe, effective, and easy. Sometimes a combination of in-office whitening and take-home whitening brings about the best long-term whitening results, and we can advise you during your consultation on our recommendations specific to your needs.

Some patients do report extra sensitivity after whitening, so we recommend avoiding hot or cold foods and drinks during the weeks of treatment. Also, limiting red wine, coffee, and tea will keep your new smile bright for months to come. If you are using the at home whitening trays and experience severe sensitivity, please call our office. We may recommend shorter intervals of whitening, or taking a short break in the process.

Teeth whitening can be a great confidence boost. Having a beautiful, natural looking smile, often makes our patients so happy—they just can’t stop smiling—and that is great!
